Since the beginning of time, people everywhere have invented. In fact, most of what is around you now was invented by someone in the past. However, we have become so used to these things that we often do not think of them as inventions.
To invent, inventors first identify a need or problem. Then they think of a creative way to solve the problem and work hard to make that solution possible.
Here are some examples of things that inspired inventors to invent.
- There is a need for something that is not available in the market
- The desire to help someone
- Combining two or more products to produce a new and better product
- Applying a better understanding of nature
- Combining traditional knowledge with modern scientific concepts
- Improvement of prior inventions
Would anyone be interested in buying, selling or mass producing the personal invention?
Participating in science competitions or invention exhibitions can be a great way to learn about the appeal of your invention.
When inventors do not present their inventions, new knowledge, or technological information that led to those inventions, this can slow the progress of science and technology by limiting the availability of important information that could be used by other scientists and inventors.
Competitions also provide an opportunity to find out how others perceive your invention and how you can make it even more interesting if necessary.
Fairs or Science and Invention Salons are excellent opportunities to present your invention and attract the attention of the media. Licensing your invention is a great way to make money from it, while letting investors cover production costs and marketers handle sales.
Innovation occurs when an invention changes its way of doing things. Innovation advances science, technology, and humanity, and this is the greatest reward an inventor can receive.
Romanians have created many things that are used daily in our lives. The advances made today are based on old-fashioned inventions made by Romanians. Without Romanian scientists and engineers, people would not have anti-aging creams, fountain pens, 3D movies, curation engines or even insulin.
