The Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers from the University Politehnica of Bucharest is initiating a collaborative research project that will be proposed in the UEFISCDI “EEA Grants – Collaborative Research Projects” call (https://uefiscdi.ro/eea-grants-proiecte-colaborative-de-cercetare).
The project proposes the design and development of a smart gateway that has the goal of unifying technologies and methods or heterogeneous communication that form the basis of the modern society critical infrastructure. This implies collecting data from all kinds of mobile devices (IoT sensors, smartphones, embedded devices) and aggregating and transmitting them to a backend, through a smart adaptation of the communication channels employed and the way they are utilized.
The deadline for the project call is 1 October 2018, thus potential partners are requested to send a letter of intent to the University Politehnica of Bucharest at ciprian.dobre@cs.pub.ro before 27 September 2018. The letter must contain a motivation of the interest in the project, experience in similar projects (that support the company’s competencies in the proposal topic) and the proof of the ability to implement an environmental monitoring pilot application.
For additional information, please send an e-mail to ciprian.dobre@cs.pub.ro.
Update:
Based on the unique letters of intent received by the University Politehnica of Bucharest from the companies S.C. BEIA CONSULT INTERNAȚIONAL S.R.L. (in Romania) and Celerway Communication AS (in Norvegia) before 27 September 2018, we thus decide selecting the above-mentioned companies to participate as partners in the project that will be proposed in the “EEA Grants – Collaborative Research Projects” call in 2018. The two selected companies will fulfill all requests from the project coordinator.
